A charming English oak settle, (circa 1930’s) made in a Gothic revival style. The backrest features three panels carved with diamond and floral motifs and a running frieze above. The curved sides add additional decorative elements and the seat panel is hinged, giving access to a useful storage space below.
Condition: Good. Slight rubbing/scuffing to the wood surfaces, commensurate with age, but no cracking, ring marks or water damage. This is a sturdy piece of furniture in good, useable condition.
